Our Mission & Origin Story
North Star Academy FC was founded in 2024, in Northern Gambia, with a simple purpose: Achieving SUCCESS through football. We are creating a platform for players to have real OPPORTUNITY, experience personal and professional GROWTH, and where they can dare to HOPE in a better present, and in a brighter future.
Our academy welcomes youth from across The Gambia, Senegal, Mali and other African nations, nurturing their God-given talent and helping to prepare them to become the next generation of ELITE footballers. Our goal is to develop complete individuals—responsible young women and men equipped with the values of discipline, leadership, and respect, who stand out both on as well as off the field through their character and their talent.
The North Star was a guide for sailors and travelers throughout the centuries, likewise, we are committed to becoming a guiding light for those youths, women and men, who come and join our academy. Through access to high performance training, top-notch facilities, and education, we aim to provide an environment where players can thrive. We are committed to the success of our players, and to the building of our communities.
