First Team

Composed largely of top-performing ACADEMY players, the FIRST TEAM is competing in The Gambia’s Second Division, after earning promotion in its first year.This achievement, built on the shoulders of a very young squad, is proof of our belief in youth potential.


The first team plays a crucial and strategic role: it is a platform for exposing academy graduates to a highly competitive environment, while showcasing their talent to local and international scouts. In this way, North Star looks to create a sustainable cycle—developing, promoting, and exporting talent.
 
Our players are trained not just to succeed in The Gambia but to adapt internationally. The North Star brand is built on preparing players to transition seamlessly into new environments—whether that means trials in Europe or athletic scholarships in the USA.
